A Look At Effective Back Pain Relief Exercises

By Paul Richards

While you might try different back pain exercises to get some relief from that ache or pain in your back, you only find temporary relief at best. Have you ever wondered what the real problem is and what you can do to get some true relief? Can back pain relief exercises really help you find some sort of permanent relief from your aching back?

You are wise to question whether something is truly wrong or if there is some piece of the puzzle missing in your quest to get some relief from your back pain. While back pain relief exercises are effective in helping to cure your back pain there are several different problems that may be present that are causing your back pain that your present back pain relief exercises simply are not addressing.

When these two conditions are combined it results in something called muscle imbalance. And even that is still only a partial reason for the pain. We will look at the other two reasons that can be just as important.

Joints Out Of Balance - Joint imbalances can be caused by many different problems but as a joint or crucial pivotal point in your body become compromised your body compensates for this problem by causing your body to work less efficiently. We have all experienced having a sore spot that causes us to bend or move in a way that might cause us to pick up a heavy object in a manner that is going to injure us further and the cycle of back pain goes on. Joint imbalances can lead to muscle imbalances and what is commonly referred to as trigger points, which can be another issue that your present back pain relief exercises simply are not addressing.

Trigger Points - Trigger points or what is commonly referred to as muscle spasms can be caused by injury to a muscle or due to prolonged stress upon a particular muscle. Trigger points can be very painful and can actually increase the likelihood of muscle imbalances and pain in your back. Trigger points can also further complicate things by causing joint imbalances as your body compensates for the lack of mobility due to the back pain that you may be experiencing.

As you can see, many back pain problems can be interconnected or, if nothing else, lead to other problems which can lead to even more back pain. This is why it is important to address the various causes of your back pain and be sure to choose back pain exercises which work on all three areas of your back pain.

A failure to address all three areas that may be causing your back pain will lead to no relief from you back pain or temporary relief, at best. Knowing what the areas are that are causing your back pain can help you to choose the right back pain relief exercises and get some long lasting relief from your back pain.
